Kent, I am a reader of your blog, but have never commented until now. I read this post a couple weeks ago, and how timely it was. I had to put a beloved dog to sleep as well, albeit under different circumstances. None the less, it was a painful, yet insightful, reminder of the fragility and impermanence of life. It's events like these that cause me to reflect on my own life as well. Anyways, thank you, and keep up the great postings...
